Sarwar Morshed

He is a Professor at the Department of English, University of Chittagong, Bangladesh, and the author of five books across the major literary genres including Depoeticized Rhapsody and In the Castle of My Mind. Professor Morshed's creative works and translations have been published and anthologized in numerous publications including The Bosphorus Review of Books, The Bombay Literary Magazine, Borderless Journal, City: Journal of South Asian Literature, Contemporary Literary Review India, the Ashvamegh, Star Literature, Arts & Letters, and Penning the Pandemic. His works have been reviewed at home and abroad – in Transnational Literature (Flinders University, Australia), Asiatic (IIUM, Malaysia), the Ashvamegh (India), Star Reviews, Observer Literature, daily sun and Dhaka Courier (Bangladesh). An enthusiast in Creative Writing and Literary Translation, Professor Morshed is also keenly interested in Linguistics and has presented academic papers in international seminars on Applied Linguistics, and ELT held in the UK, Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia and Turkey. Driven by the green-spirit, this continent-trotter is currently working on a literary translation titled Selected Bangla Eco stories.
